HTC M8 wallpaper leaked, suggests a 1080p display

Leak and rumor season is on peak at the moment and we are coming across something new every minute. All the smartphone manufacturers are set to press the triggers of their big guns and pull the curtains off from their next flagships and other main stream smartphones this year. The highly anticipated smartphones Samsung’s Galaxy S5, Apple’s iPhone 6, Sony’s Xperia Z2, LG’s G3 and HTC’s M8 are circulating in the news, and M8 has created a bump in the running rumor mills today as the leaked wallpapers have surfaced over the web by the famous leakster @evleaks.

The leaked wallpapers are allegedly the original wallpapers of the HTC M8 (aka HTC One 2), and the wallpapers hint at the screen resolution to be 1080p as the Google Drive hosted wallpapers have a resolution of 2160 x 1920 pixels, the resolution used for a 1080p screen. Although it is a rumor, but it  may be disappointing for those who have been expecting to see something big from HTC this year. Where other smartphone manufacturers have hinted at using QHD displays, it may set HTC in an old place for using an HD display at the moment.

HTC M8 is HTC’s next flagship device that HTC is expected to launch this year. The device highly anticipated, and speculated to be HTC One 2. Specs include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Quad Core CPU to power up the device, a RAM of 2 GB inside and Android 4.4 KitKat to run atop of these hardware specs along with Sense UI 6.0. HTC is also expected to improve the ultrapixel camera for the upcoming flagship. However make sure that you take a pinch of salt after you end up reading this post as there’s nothing official as off now anywhere.
