HTC announces Desire 826 at CES

HTC introduced a new smartphone from the Desire series at the CES, Desire 826. We were hoping that the company would make a splash with HTC Hima (M9), now it looks like we will be looking at it at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in March. The HTC Desire 826 is a mid-range category smartphone good for people looking for a good camera in their smartphones.

HTC Desire 826 is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display and 13-megapixel main and front shooter. The smartphone will be available in two variants; the only difference will be in the specs of the front camera. One variant will have a 13-megapixel front shooter, which is based on the Desire Eye model and the other one will be a 4-Ultrapixel. The device will be equipped with a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage, which can be extended up to 128 GB. The Desire 826 will run on android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense UI on top and will be powered by a 2600mAh battery. The smartphone will be available in four different playful colors.

HTC 826 will first be launched for Asian markets and there are chances that the smartphone will be coming to other international markets in Q2. It is listed on the HTC US. website, so it will be available there too. No information about the price of the device is available but the HTC Desire 820 retailed at $475, so Desire 826 will have its price set between $450-$525 or higher.
