  1. I have installed Knox in my note 2 with official android 4.3 . Can I still root my phone or there will be some problem

  2. has anyone used this process and rooting was successful?
please i need to know, because i have tried some many different processes on differents sites, but the samsung security on the android 4.3 JB keeps blocking the superSU.
so, has this process been successful??

  3. It looks like you have enabled Knox on your phone. In case you get error after using this guide, let me know i’ll tell you what to do next!

  5. Hi there, I have custom installed the latest

Android 4.3 XXUEMK4 stock ROM for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100. Regarding the KNOX, I haven’t even opened the app. I have tried to root several times, but it keeps activating KNOX warning and leaves me to install the ROM over again with Odin. Anyways is there any way it will work with your process and 100% rooting without tripping the KNOX warnings and that SuperSU will work? Your answer will be much appreciated.

    • While you have installed the latest 4.3 firmware, the Knox warranty void has been activated on your bootloader now. If you will root your phone now, or flash a custom rom, you will trip the knox counter to 1 and that will not be in the favor if you want to claim the warranty.
There is no method to root the phone without tripping the knox counter as off now.
This method is working, i’ve verified it by myself, but again the thing is using it will trip your knox, so if you don’t care for the warranty then go for it, after you gain root access install Titanium Backup and freeze Knox, things should be working fine.

      • Hi Usama, thanx for replying back and giving me the info. Will try again and luckily I have purchased Titanium Backup Pro previously. So hope it will freeze KNOX this time for good!

        • @ajtex:disqus Hit the little button with a tick on it in the top right corner inside Titanium and find the freeze option by scroll down and move to alphabet “K” and select all Knox apps and freeze them. Use any root app after that you will not get any error.

      • We have a root method but currently lack the ability to install custom roms because there are no working custom recoveries sorry if I was unclear

        • @krisgauthier:disqus Yup, i searched for the Verizon Galaxy S4, although i have the guides for all other S4 Variants but not for the Verizon one only, i hope that there will be a custom recovery soon, the problem is that Verizon Galaxy S4 needs to get its bootloader unlocked, only then you can install a custom recovery, but let’s see the Developers can do anything anytime..

  6. @disqus_NYXCqdYoG0:disqus How did you disable? If you freezed it, it won’t cause any issues, perhaps if you face issues, you can factory reset and freeze it using titanium backup.

      • I successfully install the TWRP Recovery on my phone. But when i Volume Up + Home Button + Power Key simultaneously. It doesnt enter the TWRP Recovery mode but the android system recovery. What happened?

  7. @exrienz:disqus Can you please tell me your device model number? try flashing the recovery once again and let me know it works or not.

    • I am a note II GT-N7100 user, running latest official android update 4.3. I also had a Samsung Knox installed. After flashing the recovery, i still cant access to TWRP Recovery as mention above. An in addition, the knox are now cant be used, “Your device are not authorized to access Knox Mode”.

Flash again? using the same method?

      • oh. You can try flashing a stock firmware now, flash it and do not enable knox, just leave it as it is and then flash this TWRP. let me know if it works or not, i’ll find some other solution.

        • I already flashed back the stockroom to its original stock. But the Knox application are already being enabled and i still cant access it to uninstall. I noticed my Knox counter also increased to 1.

        • Is it true? THe knox flag is an EFUSE, you will NEVER be able to reset it back to 0. It is PHYSICALLY destroyed in the S800 chip and there is no way to change that fact. The best you can hope for custom bootloader that fakes the flag. But they will always be able to check the flag.

          • @exrienz:disqus Yes that’s true. But that matters only as long as you care for your phone’s warranty. It won’t cause any problems as such.

  12. Is this guide also usable for Samsung Note 2 N7105 LTE ?
My Samsung Note 2 is on Jelly Bean 4.3 but already rooted without using SuperSu. To follow this tutorial, do I need to unroot my device again ?

  13. @nay_lin_aung:disqus this is only for GT N7100, however you can flash recovery for N7105 and flash this SuperSu using the same guide. If your device is already rooted and you only need a custom recovery, you may not root it again. Simply flash CWM or TWRP.

  14. Hi I done the recovery part but the supersu.zip thats provided dznt install fully, ive downloaded the supersu app also but it wont open cause the device is stll not rooted

      • I already flashed it in twrp recovery under apply update from external sd,but it starts installing then fails showing E: failed to apply whole-ly. Now my phone’s still not rooted and shows no service. Wht do I do cz I realy wnt to root my phne…thnx for replying.

      • Sorry I got it all wrong,I flashed twrp using odin,bt it seems tht im still running on android recovery, thats y the su ddnt work. Now shuld I flash with stock firmware first and then with twrp or how do I go about the whole situation…sorry and thnx

        • @disqus_GR4FVDbCCM:disqus You can either flash a twrp recovery first and give it a try, if it doesn’t work, you may install stock firmware and then flash the recovery and it should work fine. Good Luck.
