But in iOS 7, things are a bit different, whenever you press the home button twice, instead of app drawer you will see cards showing a thumbnail of the apps. Don’t worry, it’s not that difficult to force-close an app in iOS 7 but even easier than before.

You will be able to swipe cards from left to right or either way. Swiping it all the way to the right will take you to the card of the home screen and all the way to the left will take you to the most recent app you opened. Tapping a card will launch the app and pressing the home button will not take you to the home screen again but it will open the app whose card will be in front of you.

To force close an app because of freezing or troubleshooting or any other issue, open the multitasking by pressing the home button twice and swipe the card up, Not the icon but the card.
