Honor has been steadily making its name in the global market by producing smartphones that pack good specs, design and an affordable price point. Honor 8 stunned consumers with its elegant design, great features and specifications. This was one of Huawei Honor’s best selling smartphones of 2016. The company has taken this tradition forward by introducing Honor 6X at the CES and now it seems that they have something more in-store for us. A new Honor smartphone with the model number DUK-TH 30 was just certified by TENAA, the Chinese regulatory body.

The new Honor smartphone will sport a 5.7-inch, 2560 x 1440 QHD display. Under the hood it will be have a 2.4GHz Octa-core processor.Event though the processor that will be used was not mentioned, we can guess that it will make use of Huawei’s Kirin 960 CPU. It will have a 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Honor DUK-TH 30 will sport a dual lens camera with a 12 MP main camera and an LED flash with a 2MP secondary camera and an 8 ME front facing camera. The device will also have a finger print sensor at the rear. It will be powered by Android Nougat and a 3900 mAh battery. On the website the color option listed is gold, but we will most probably look at other options too.

Looking at the listed specs, we have a strong hunch that the smartphone is successor of  Honor 8. As it is expected to launch soon, maybe this would be one of the goodies we will be looking at on the MWC 2017.
