Honor 8 Lite is now official

Honor unveiled two new smartphones in China today, the flagship Honor V9 and a mid range Honor 8 Lite. Honor 8 Lite is a mid range, more affordable version of Honor’s popular smartphone Honor 8. The difference between the two version is that they make use of different processors and camera specs. One thing that Honor has focused on even with the mid range smartphone is that they maintained quality present in their flagship smartphones. Where a lot of brands end up cutting corners with their mid range smartphone series, Honor does not at all compromise on the quality of the device.

Honor 8 Lite features a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a 1920 x 1080p resolution. The device will be powered by Kirin 655 octa core processor, paired with a 3GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage that can be extended via the micro SDcard up to 128GB. A 12-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter adorns the device. In Honor 8 there is a dual camera setup, but in Honor 8 Lite there is only one camera.

A 3000 mAh battery powers the device and it runs Huawei’s Emotion UI 5.0 skin which is based on Android  7.0 Nougat. The smartphone has a metal glass build which gives it a premium look and rear-facing finger print scanner. Honor 8 Lite will be available in Midnight Black, Pearl White, Streamer Gold and Sea Blue variants.
