HMD Global will announce Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and a modern Nokia 3310 at the MWC

Nokia is set to make a strong comeback this year. They have already set the wheels in motion by successfully launching Nokia 6 in China last month. The success of the smartphone can be attributed to the fact that in its first flash sale, the device was sold out in under 1 minute. Nokia on their Facebook page last month posted a save the date for 26th February, which is one day before the MWC 2017 kicks off, this started off new speculations for the what new devices will we be looking at. Now a new report out by VentureBeat claims that HMD Global will be announcing 4 Nokia smartphones at the event.

Nokia 6

The smartphones which will be announced are Nokia 5, Nokia 3, Nokia 6 (global launch) and modern Nokia 3310. That’s quite a line up. Nokia 6, an Android device was launched in China only, with global fans asking the company when it is heading in their markets. Well good news for all the fans out there, the device is set for a global launch.

According to the report Nokia 5 will sport a 5.2-inch 720p display. Under the hood it will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 with a 2GB RAM, along with a 12-megapixel main camera. The specs of this smartphone are ver similar to the Nokia Heart that was benchmarked last month. Nokia 3 will be entry level smartphone which will cost $150 and Nokia 5 will be priced at $ 200.

Nokia will also be unveiling a new Nokia 3310, should we expect a classic with a modern twist. Nokia 3310 was one of the most popular feature phones by Nokia which was known for its design durability and long battery life. The device ended up selling over 100 million units globally. Now the company is bringing it back. Nokia 3310 will be priced at $60.

HMD Global has taken Nokia back to its roots and worked on bringing elements that made them great. All the announced smartphones are at a very economical price point, and this definitely will be one of the major factors that will tip the scales their favor.
