Google has announced Android 7.1.2 Nougat and the public beta will be rolling out today. Pixel and Nexus device who are part of the beta program, will start receiving the update today. The final version will be rolled out in a few months. The beta update is available for Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus Players and Pixel C device. The Nexus 6P will not be getting the update today, the company says that it will be rolled out soon.

As this is an incremental update, do not expect any major changes or new features to be added. More or less, the issues and bugs that were found in the earlier update will be addressed. Usually these updates focus on refining and tweaking the features that are already there to provide users with an optimal experience. The users enrolled in the Beta program, test the features and then if there are any issues provide feedback to the developing team, so that the final version is perfect.

Well, if you want to check out the Android update, get enrolled in the Android Beta Program. If your device is eligible for the update you will receive the update soon. Don’t want to wait, well the best solution for this is that download and flash the update manually.
