Galaxy Tab A (2016) officially unveiled on Samsung’s Website

Reports have been surfacing from quite sometime now which claim that Samsung is working on a budget friendly tablet for its customers. Although the name of the tablet was yet a mystery, rumors were that it might be sold under the name of Galaxy Tab E in the U.S while the customers in U.K will get the same tablet carrying the name Galaxy Tab A.

The specifications of the tablet almost completely match the previous speculations made by Evan Blass,a credible leakster. The Galaxy Tab A features a 7.0-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. Under the hood, it’ll pack a 1.3GHz quad-core processor along with 1.5GB of RAM. This budget friendly tab also has a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 8GB of expandable internal storage, and a 4,000 mAh battery. As far as the OS is concerned, Tab A will be running Android 5.1 with Samsung’s Kids Mode. As we had exclusively reported, Samsung is working on a newer version of Kids Mode, and we could see it debut on the Galaxy Tab A.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A is listed in black and white color variants featuring Wi-Fi connectivity on their official website. Have a look at the tablet in the pictures below.
