The DeX Station was something that came with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ and featured a better functionality than Microsoft’s Continuum thanks to the ample number of applications you could run on Android. Coming to 2018, with the Galaxy S9 en route to succeeding the Galaxy S8, a new rumor tells the tale of a DeX Pad, and since the name of this product is different, we’re going to assume that the product itself is going to be different from the DeX Station.

Galaxy S9 could feature the all new DeX Pad and here’s what it will do

According to the leaked report, here is how the DeX Pad could work when it officially launches. The display of the connected phone, or in this case, the Galaxy S9 can be used as a mouse and it is also possible that the phone can be used as a keyboard, although this is going to be noteworthy to see how a mobile phone can be substituted as something as large as a keyboard.

At this point, this is information that is based on just speculation so the exact DeX Pad could differ a lot from the leaked features we’re telling you about. In short, with the Galaxy S9 being a more capable smartphone than the Galaxy S8, the DeX Pad could be more capable than the DeX Station.

Unfortunately, with the number of upgrades the Galaxy S9 has been rumored to come with, it will obviously carry a larger price tag when it officially launches. The same thing can be said about the DeX Pad when it officially releases. Fortunately, Samsung will be introducing a wide-range of promotions in which potential buyers will be able to grab a DeX Pad absolutely free of cost.

We can assume that the official pricing of the DeX Pad will be for $200 in America and will vary in different countries.
