Samsung’s upcoming flagship the Galaxy S8 has been in the news a lot this past week due to its different design renders being leaked. Galaxy S8 is one of the most anticipated devices of the year and the rumor mill regarding it is getting hotter. Not only industry analysts but fans are always speculating and reporting on the different aspect of the device. A new information about the Galaxy S8 is making rounds and according to that information the smartphone will come with an IP68 rating.
Considering that Samsung Galaxy S7 at the moment comes with the IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, this is not a surprise. This is the highest level protection in any device and that means that the smartphone can be submerged in water for half an hour in 1.5 meters. Other devices at the moment which offer water resistance have an IP7 rating. This seems to be must have feature in high end devices. Samsung is pushing this feature to their mid range devices too like the A3, A5 and the A7 that were recently unveiled. They are planning to extend it to their low end models soon.
Well the IP8 rating will not only be a part of Galaxy S8 but Apple’s next generation device iPhone 8 too. iPhone 8 will be Apple’s anniversary smartphone and the company is planning ti equip it with the best features available.
