Samsung’s upcoming flagship, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ is one of the most anticipated devices of the year. The device is scheduled to be announced on March 29 in New York and the global release is set for April 28. To date we have seen both Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ leak in different set of images and even live videos. With just a few days left till the device is announced, we will be looking at more leaks. The popularity of the device can be gauged from the fact that Galaxy S8 knock-offs are already on sale in China.

Usually high-end flagships are difficult to acquire right away given their high price tag. In such cases different manufacturers try to produce knock-offs so that people who cannot get their hands on the original get by with the knock-off product. Well the knock-off of Samsung Galaxy S8 has landed in the Chinese even before the product has been officially unveiled. As it is replica and based on the rumored design of Galaxy S8, things are different.

There is no home buttons as we have seen in different images to date, but the Samsung logo is placed in the lower bezel. Along with that the replica follows the slim bezels design but look similar to what we saw in Galaxy S7 Edge. The senors at the front are also not in perfect alignment. Along with that, neither does the device look like it has a 5.7-inch or a 6.2-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio which the company will call as the ‘Infinity Display’. Moreover, the knock-off is missing the the physical button on the right side which is dedicated for Samsung’s own AI assistant, Bixby.

In addition, we do not have an idea of the hardware used. The original Galaxy S8 flagship will be equipped with Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 889s SoC in some markets. As far as the storage go, it will have a 4GB RAM and a 64GB of native storage that will be extended via the microSD card. The smartphone will have IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and will run Android Nougat. The knockoff looks more like Galaxy S7 Edge then the Galaxy S8.
