Galaxy S8 enters mass production, Samsung targets 7.8 million units for April

With the major smartphone announcements for the start of year out of the way after the MWC, people are now looking forward to what Samsung is up to. The Korean tech giant will be unveiling their S-series flagship for the year, Galaxy S8 on 29th March in dedicated events taking place in New York and London. The smartphone after its announcement will be hitting global markets on 21st April. Samsung is anticipating high demand for the product and for that purpose they have amped up the production. According to the report out of South Korea, Samsung has started mass production for Galaxy S8 in Vietnam.

To keep up with productions, Samsung has already instructed the component suppliers of regarding the production timeline and the a high product target. The company is targeting to ship 60 million units, as in comparison  48 million units of Galaxy S7 were shipped. Samsung is banking on their design changes, top notch specs and Bixby to tip the sales in their favor. We do believe that if Galaxy S8 does not crash and burn it does have a pretty good chance of being one of the Samsung’s best selling flagships.

Samsung at the moment is targeting 4.7 million unit production for the month of March and 7.8 million units for the month of April. So, by the time the device is ready t hit the markets, enough units are available to cater to the high demand of the flagship.
