There’s a lot of new stuff in this update. Samsung has revamped the whole TouchWiz UI once again for the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. There are major performance and battery enhancements. The firmware is much more stable, secure and intact. Samsung has changed the status bar and quick toggle menu to white instead of bluish colour. Some icons in the status bar and quick toggle menu are seeing a new design as well. Apart from these changes, Samsung has introduced new enhanced app permissions as well which are a part of the core Android system now. There are some new features introduced for photography geeks as well. You can now set the shutter speed in the Pro photography mode. Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow has turned out to be a major update as it brings quite many notable changes.
Android Marshmallow update for the Samsung flagships has been making rounds of the rumour mills since quite a while now. The update was expected to hit the Galaxy Note 5 first, but as always, Samsung couldn’t resist proving that it’s lazy as hell when it comes to Software updates. Now the month of January has always come to an end and we finally saw the Marshmallow update landing in for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. This definitely spices up the wait for Marshmallow update on other devices like Galaxy Note 5, S6 Edge Plus, which sure will be coming out pretty soon now. Let’s hope that Samsung doesn’t make us wait more now.
Have you got a Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge with the model number G920S or G925S? Well if so, then update your device right away and let us know how’s the Marshmallow experience.
