Galaxy S5’s Official Images & Specs Leaked In All Its Glory

Don’t tell me that you just got a shock after reading the title, yes! you heard it right. It’s 24th of February, the day of great happenings in the smartphone world in the year 2014 and just few hours before Samsung’s Unpacked Event 5 Episode 1, Korean giant’s next Galaxy device has been leaked all over the web. It’s been months since we’ve been going through thousands of rumors emerging every day, going through concepts, coming across different specifications everyday and while Samsung is set to unveil this mighty device in just 6 hours from now, the device is already there and this may kill the charm of unpacked event actually, but is worth giving a look.

It is not yet clear whether Samsung is going to release a premium Galaxy S5 or not, but the leaks have suggested us all about the normal variant of the device. Samsung has once again used it’s old plastic material to build up the device, keeping it below Galaxy Note 3 as it doesn’t have that leather like (Faux) back but sports a dotted / frosted back instead. The device has grown a little as compared to that of the Galaxy S4 and is 5.25 inches in screen size while the resolution of this variant is 1080p. Samsung has used a 16 MP shooter at the back that comes up with selective focus. To add live to the device, Samsung has used a 2800 mAh battery, that is not a blow actually. Like Galaxy Note 3, Samsung has used a USB 3.0 port in Galaxy S5 as well.

What’s actually exciting in Galaxy S5 is, Samsung has implemented a fingerprint sensor in Galaxy S5’s home button just like Apple’s iPhone 5S, but it requires the users to swipe their finger over the home key unlike reading bio-metric impressions on iPhone 5S. This may help Samsung to win some respect is it caught up other manufacturers quickly and came up with something new in its devices. Samsung has also implemented a heart rate sensor right below the LED at the back of this phone.

Last for now, but not the least. Galaxy S5 comes with  IP67 standard certification, that means the device is water and dust resistant. Other specifications of the device remain disclosed at this time, It is actually not a good idea to know all about it in a leak and kill the charm of the original event. We’ll be covering Samsung’s Unpacked Event 5 Episode 1 live right here on our site, stay tuned with us while Samsung pulls the curtains off from the next Galaxy, the Galaxy S5!
