With the leaks related to Galaxy S8 abound, the news related Samsung’s next flagship comes as the breath of fresh air. Samsung later this year will be announcing Galaxy Note 8. Earlier rumors suggest that Samsung has given the codenamed the device ‘Great’ hinting at their plans for the next Note device after the fateful Galaxy Note 7 disaster.

According to the new information, Galaxy Note 8 will feature a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a 4K resolution display. Samsung for Galaxy S8 and S8+ adopted the 18:9 aspect ratio, the similar will definitely used for Galaxy Note 8. With Samsung pushing big plans for Note 8 and the 4K display in this matter will tip the scales. Along with that the company focus of both VR and AR tech will make this favorable feature.

Under the hood the device is expected to be equipped with Snapdragon 835 and an Exynos Series 9 chipset. Qualcomm’s latest chipset is quite powerful as it has been produced using the 10nm fabrication process which makes the processor faster and more energy efficient. If another advanced Qualcomm chipset hits the market, Samsung may end up using that soon.

Let’s have a look at the RAM configuration. Samsung for Galaxy S8 used a 4GB RAM, so for Note 8 they will be pushing the 6GB RAM. With different manufacturers making use of the 6 GB RAM, it is imperative that Samsung also picks up their game and offer it to markets apart from China. Along with that we may have a 256 GB base memory as there have been rumors so this would be the flagship that gets this feature.

Galaxy Note 8 will come with an S-Pen with USB-C port and the 3.5mm audio jack. As Samsung did not jump the bandwagon and ditch the lightning port, so same will be the case for Note 8. Bixby again will have its own dedicated button. There are rumors that Galaxy Note 8 will have a dual camera setup and maybe facial recognition feature too. With a couple of more months to go, we will be getting the latest scoop on Galaxy Note 8.
