Galaxy Note 5 & Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Released, Here Are The First Impressions


Big day for Tech Fanatics! Samsung may have come up with its biggest guns in the smartphone world today. The most anticipated smartphone, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 is finally out today. The 5th overhaul in the Note series brings the most desired changes. Samsung hasn’t only added the mighty specifications to this device, but changed its design to something worth looking it.

The Galaxy Note 5 has a glass build, as same as that of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Samsung did a great job with the Galaxy Note 5 design. We saw a dual-edge display in the Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung has applied this same phenomena at the back of the Galaxy Note 5. We can find a 5 MP selfie shooter in the Note 5, and a 16 MP primary shooter fixed at the back. Galaxy Note 5 doesn’t have a removable battery, which may be a down-point for many Galaxy enthusiasts. Galaxy Note 5 is a bigger device in a smaller size, Samsung has improved the quality of its metallic bezels. The bezels are even more subtle.

The Galaxy Note 5 sports a beautiful 5.7 inch QHD Super AMOLED display with 2560 x 1400 pixels resolution. Samsung has used its own Exynos 7420 octa core CPU based on 64 bit architecture to power up the Galaxy Note 5. As expected, Samsung has used a 4 GB RAM in this phone. A battery of 3000 mAh is packed inside. Note 5 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop straight out of the box. The new S-Pen is better and sticks solid in your hands. A new phenomena, pop-to-detach is used by Samsung. Samsung has also improved Air command making it easy to use and with some new application access in this feature.

At today’s event, the Galaxy Note 5 wasn’t the only star of the show. Samsung released another device, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. S6 Edge Plus has been making rounds in the rumor mill, the rumors seem to have turned out true  today. The bigger version of the S6 Edge sports almost same specifications as that of the Galaxy Note 5, but comes with dual-edge screen on the front. S6 Edge Plus is may give birth to Samsung’s new line of phablets. Let’s have a look on the devices from the live event.

JK Shin took the stage to start the event off by explaining the rise of  curved displays and telling the audience about Samsung’s belief in innovation. JK Shin mentioned about the current journey of technology in the bigger screens followed and inspired by Samsung’s Galaxy Note series. JK Shin also insisted on the importance of bigger displays. The Galaxy Note 5 is meant to be for Multitaskers and Multimedia enthusiasts. According to JK Shin, Samsung built two devices, one for Multitaskers and one for Multimedia enthusiasts.

Samsung also announced Samsung Pay, that is secured by Knox. Samsung Pay will be accepted almost everywhere on day 1 of its launch. Samsung has high expectations from the Samsung Pay.
