Galaxy Grand 2 Gets Unveiled by Samsung

It looks like Samsung wants to continue its recent Galaxy Grand series, to move forward, Samsung has announced Galaxy Grand 2 SM-G7102 today. Successor to the Galaxy Grand, and has got a lot of improvements. This time, Samsung has packed up pretty good specs, and a big screen in a mid range phone. Samsung has also changed the shape of the device a little bit, and the back has been changed to that of the Note 3 (Stitched leather look and feel).

Galaxy Grand 2 sports a beautiful 5.25 inch 1280 x 720 HD TFT display with 280 ppi, the difference with Galaxy Grand is pretty obvious and better. To power up the device, Samsung has used Quad Core CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz, a RAM of 1.5 GB’s. At the back there is an 8 MP camera sensor , while on the front a 1.9 MP HD camera is installed. The device has got 8 GB storage on board and also supports microSD cards upto 64 GB. Under the hood, the device packs up a 2600 mAh battery. Other hardware features include WiFi N, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. As far as the dimensions are concerned, the device is 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm and weighs at 168 grams that is a little bigger and only 1g heavier then the Galaxy Grand.

Atop of these hefty specs, the Grand 2 runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean having Samsung’s Touchwiz UI. The phone also features 2 SIM card slots. As off now Samsung hasn’t unveiled the price tag for Galaxy Grand 2, but seeing the first Grand it may be kept in mind that the Galaxy Grand 2 is a mid range device and should be in a controlled budget, so a good choice for those who want good specs, a bigger display in a reasonable price. It is also said that Galaxy Grand 2 will be a region specific device and we expect that Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos will hit the most emerging markets only.

That’s all for what we know so far. As soon as we get to know more about the device, we’ll bring the updates to you. Stay tuned with us, Thanks All.
