Future of Sony Flagships: Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia XZ Premium

0

Sony’s lineup for the Mobile World Congress is amazing, the specs of the devices along with the features and design present some impressive devices. Even though Sony’s Xperia lineup produces amazing smartphones they have been unable to mark themselves as the market leaders in the mobile industry. But we believe so that may very well change this year with the innovating strides they have taken with their flagships Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZs. Today Sony unveiled another chapter and showed where the mobile industry is headed next.

Xperia XZ Premium

Xperia XZ Premium features a 5.5-inch display with a 4K resolution. For the display panel Sony has made use of their own ‘Triluminos’ technology. Under the hood the device will be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 SoC, the first flagship device of the year to use this chipset. Initially it was heard that Samsung’s Galaxy S8 will be the first device to have this on board, but Sony takes the stride. The 64-bit chipset is quite powerful as it has been produced using the 10nm process. With this chispet which is as Qualcomm says give ‘life like VR and AR experiences’, be ready for an amazing immersive experience.

The smartphone will come with a 4GB RAM and 64GB on built-in storage that can be extemded via the microSD card. Where companies are moving towards using 6GB RAM’s brands should look into providing top notch specs. The camera specs are just stunning, The smartphone makes use of 19MP main camera which will be able to produce great low-light images and a 13 MP selfie shooter. Sony excels in the camera tech, so we have to see, how the camera of the Xperia XZ Premium works out. The crowning glory of the smartphone is the 960fps slow motion video and an anti-distortion shutter.

Xperia XZ Premium has a Glass Loop Surface which is Gorilla Glass 5 and ot wraps around the device and gives added protection and gives it IP68 rating. The smartphone will run Android 7.0 Nougat and will be powered by a 3,230mAh battery and supports Quick charge 3.0.

Xperia XZs

Xperia XZs features a 5.2 inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution display. Well looks as if Sony used the same LCD panel as used in Xperia XZ. Under the hood, the smartphone will not be powerhouse like its Premium counterpart and will make use of Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with Aderno 530 GPU. Xperia XZs will come with 4GB RAM and have 32GB and 64GB built-in memory options, but there are microSd cards available is this seems inadequate.

The smartphone boasts a 19MP main camera which is capable of taking 960 fps videos and results in producing some amazing super slow-motion shots with a 13 MP front facing camera. The smartphone runs Android Nougat and is powered by a 2,900mAh battery along with that its supports Quick charge 3.0.
