Foldable smartphone from Samsung could be seen in Q3

Companies are often working on different projects and testing different technologies so that they can be always a step ahead of the competition. Samsung has been working on a producing a flodable display smartphone for quite a while. This isn’t the first time Samsung has tinkered with the display of a smartphone when they introduce the curved display Galaxy Note Edge. Samsung will be working on the new technology and most probably we will be looking at the foldable smartphone at the IFA 2017.

Samsung will first be getting a few prototypes out, so that they can gauge the market reaction. What do the consumers think and is that something worth pursuing. Modular smartphones were quite in hype last year, but LG G5 and Project Ara proved other wise. So, Samsung does not want that to happen to them as well. Mass production will start early 2018, if all goes well.

Samsung did show some prototypes at the Mobile World Congress 2017, but that was to very select few people, not even all the industry partners got to have a look at it. Samsung along with that has another angle in mind for this concept. They will be selling the foldable smartphone as a high end ultra premium handset. So they are ensuring that it is both elegant and luxurious with top notch specs.
