Flappy Bird Developer Announces To Take His Game Down, Is That For Real?

Did you just stop or got a shock after reading the title? Well that’s true. Flappy Bird developer Dong Nguyen has announced on twitter that he will be taking off Flappy Bird from Android and IOS app stores in 22 hours from now. It’s a bit strange that why the developer wants to remove this game when it’s viral all over and the revenue has already went over $50K / day.

Here’s a bunch of tweets from Dong Nguyen confirming the removal of game from the App Stores:

From what the tweets suggest us, it looks like the developer has been stressed to remove the game or get sued because of the games graphics as he’s been accused of stealing the Super Mario’s graphics and implementing into Flappy Bird and Nintendo might by the one to do so.

In case some of you don’t know, Flappy Bird is a 2D mini game. You got to flap your bird through the pipes coming upside down and downside up. Flappy Bird was released a year ago but the game actually went viral in the start of 2014 being the most tough game on both Android and IOS platforms.

As off now, nothing can be said being sure that the developer will actually remove the game or it’s just a publicity stunt to get more active users in the next 22 hours. However, don’t forget to download the game while it’s available in the stores for free.
