Following are the issues, people are posting on forums:

  • S7 Edge screen reportedly blacked out
  • Galaxy S7 Edge’s screen shows 4 lines
  • Galaxy S7 screen waking up from sleep every few minutes

Now start with the first thing you all must do is perform a cache wipe through recovery and also perform a factory data wipe. Now it’s not confirm. that after applying both of these solutions you’ll get the issue fixed, but it worth trying.

  • Turn off your device.
  • Now press and hold home+Power+Volume Up key.
  • Release the power button once you see logo, but keep holding home and Volume up keys.
  • Now when you see Android logo, let go both buttons.
  • Use the volume down button to navigate and highlight wipe cache partition.
  • Now use the power key to select the option.
  • You have to select ‘Yes‘ when you’ll be prompted to next menu.
  • Now wait for the process to be completed, once it’s done highlight ‘Reboot system now’ and press power button to select it.
  • All Done.

Method2:

  • Goto Settings on your device.
  • Select Backup and reset.
  • Tap on Factory Data reset.
  • Now Tap on reset device.
  • Now enter you password or pattern to proceed.
  • Tap on delete all.

Method3:

  • Turn off your device.
  • Now press and hold home+Power+Volume Up key.
  • Release the power button once you see logo, but keep holding home and Volume up keys.
  • Now when you see Android logo, let go both buttons.
  • Use the volume down button to navigate and highlight wipe data / factory reset.
  • Now use the power key to select the option.
  • You have to select ‘Yes‘ when you’ll be prompted to next menu.
  • Now wait for the process to be completed, once it’s done highlight ‘Reboot system now’ and press power button to select it.
  • All Done.

Now after applying these solutions there is no luck for you then its time to go to Samsung service station and get your device checked, because this is a hardware issue.

Galaxy S7 Edge’s screen shows 4 lines when brightness is adjusted to maximum.

As i said before the main issue is with hardware but still you can try changing the theme of your device to see that the lines are gone. If not don’t waste your time go to Samsung service station.

Touchwiz is a bit laggy/glitchy at times:

If you are feeling that Touchwiz is but laggy or glitchy sometimes, boot your device in Safe mode and check how its working. If in Safe Mode its the same as it was, try clearing your system cache.

This is all for now, I will keep updating this post as soon as i get new solutions. Keep visiting Techbeasts and share these tips with your friends and family.
