  1. My flash is randomly going off in my Note 4 since marshmallow update. I do NOT have it at to do so in the accessibility settings, though it sometimes seems to be tied to various notifications. I’ve already done a factory reset. And last week had to go to a Samsung kiosk to have the software flashed to my phone for other problems. But the flash is still going off.

  2. Had my note 4 since it came out, about a year later my battery started not charging properly, bought a new battery this year and now its fine. About 2 to 3 weeks ago my phones starts lagging massively, when i try to open an app it takes long and if it doesnt open it restarts and takes a while to get back on. I have cleared the partition and even did a factory reset but the problem still exist. If you can please give me some advise on how to fix this, thanks.

  3. I am an IT Professional who labored through 2 weeks of struggle with my Note 4 after the Marshmallow update. Take it from me…Just do a factory reset now if you are having issues. Nothing else worked. Don’t waste your time. I had random reboots and app crashes 5-10 times daily based on phone use including every time I plugged in a charging cable. Yes a factory reset is the biggest pain in rear of all time but it in the end you will get your phone back to 100%. I have had zero issues with any apps or reboots since I did mine…wish I would have done it sooner.

  4. My At&t Note 4 just decided to download an update last night. This morning, It asked me if I wanted to install it now, I chose yes. It took around 5 minutes to install, then, when booting up, it got to the At&t logo, and didn’t do anything else, it got really hot (I mean, like, hurt your hand, hot.). So I restarted it, wiped the cache, and removed my SD, and restarted, but nothing, same thing happens. Please Help

    • I have cleared cache partition and done a factory reset and that has not helped. I’m still experiencing rapid battery drain, where the phone will shut off after charging fully with the battery still reading in the 90s%, plus I keep losing carrier signal, when that happens the phone will freeze and then shut off.

    • Thank you for the response. After researching the steps to perform this procedure Im realizing how little I know. Following your advice, would this be considered rooting? There are many DIY instructions out there. Is there a particular site you’d recommend? Thank you in advance.

    • Thank you for the response. Im using a Mac and can’t find a download for JOdin3 or anything comparable. Is there a guide or instructions you could provide to simplify flashing?

  5. @xanderdefelipe:disqus Flashing a different stock version is not considered rooting. It simply means refreshing your device. Jodin is available for Mac, if that isn’t working for you then you will have to get your hands on a Windows powered PC or Laptop. If you have one, then let me know so that I can forward you a guide.

  6. I did everything that you said above but it didn’t solve my problem and the service center guys are telling that the mother board is not supporting the update and i need to change the MB, and they suggesting that its not worth doing that.
My question is why would they release the update when it’s not supported and why should i pay for that.

  7. My one year old note 4 has been a good fellow to me until 3 weeks ago, when
this poor Marshmallow update happen. My phone is complete useless due to
this crap update from Google. It drain the battery, the screen freeze, it restart
again and again etc. I have tried all the good advices I could find on the Net,
but the situation is the same. Actually Google should be sued all over the world
for this mess which has caused so much trouble for many people.
My choice was a SamSung Note 4 which I expected should work as a phone including
the camera without any interference from others, but that is not the case.
Yes, Google supply the android system, but the phone contacts cannot be edited
without Google has access to my phone info, my pictures, voice recording, location etc. as also is the case for any simple game from the play store, which I cannot accept, so
i was actually thinking of a good old Nokia or similar.
For now I was forced to root my phone and install Lollipop 5.1.1 which just work
excellent for this phone and no sign in to Google, I can live without all this silly
    control programs.
At least SamSung should make a rollback program available for Note 4 users and
    other in this situation.

  8. My Note 4 has been through all the troubles since it was updated to Marshmallow, repeated restart, frozen screen, battery drainage etc.
I tried all the good advises I could find on the Net, still same result.
But, in the end I found a solution which work very well for my phone, a SM-N910C.
Go to Samsung and download Kiss and at the same place a program
    called “Smart Switch”: http://www.samsung.com/in/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/
    Download both programs and install.
In Kiss install the USB drivers and back up your files.
In Smart Switch go to top right corner, click “More” and choose
    “Emergency software recovery and initialization”
Now follow the instructions and factory drivers will be downloaded and installed. It takes a little time, so be patient.
I hope this will work for you also, good luck.

  9. !!! Atention: This will 99-100% % fix your slow NOTE 4 and rondom shut downs & freezings: Download the wake lock app from the store, it’s free and run it in Partial mode. Go to settings and enable autostart and notification for that app. Your Phone will work fast and normal again, it will keep your cpu awake so you should add this in solution above, all that reset stuff, new firmware can’t fix this it’s waste of time, simply install the app wake lock from the store and select partial mode.
