Want to make a statement and standout, why not do it with gold? The Chinese company NavJack is offering Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in 24k gold plated versions. The company will produce limited units to maintain exclusivity. So if you are interested, be on the lookout. A few days back Nokia also announced to launch a limited edition gold version of its smartphones Lumia 930 and Lumia 830 in China.
There are no hardware or software changes being offered by the company, the 24k Gold Edition is a blinged up version of the plain iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The gold-plated version features a carbon-fiber finish on the back which seemingly adds texture to the surface. The company is also adding Gorilla Glass 3 to the front panel of the smartphones for added protection and to give users full value for the money spent. The 24K Gold Plated iPhones will come with their own special box to add a luxurious touch. NavJack has not confirmed the price of the gold-plated iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but they are definitely going to garner a high price tag. This is not the first time an Apple product has been customized as a luxury product, the jeweler Mervis Diamond’s made a diamond encrusted iPad a few years back and this year they plan to launch a diamond encrusted rose-gold plated Apple Watch.
