Few months earlier, images showing an alleged second Android smartphone by Blackberry came out on the internet. That smartphone, named Blackberry Vienna, bears some resemblance to the previously released Blackberry Priv. Unlike Priv, Vienna featured no slide mechanism which caused its keyboard to remain exposed all the time. Judging by the design elements, a comparatively cheaper phone than Priv was anticipated.
Based on recent reports, Blackberry might just unveil their next Android smartphone on the MWC starting tomorrow. As far as other flagships are concerned, Samsung Galaxy S7 series and LG G5 might be revealed a day prior to the event, i.e today.
Coming towards the internal hardware of the device, Vienna is rumored to include a 5-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Apart from that, a 3GB of RAM will be accompanying an 18MP camera placed at the back of the device. Coming towards the success of the Android smartphones by Blackberry; after AT&T, T-Mobile added the phone to its line-up a month earlier. we are expecting Verizon to launch the phone next month, while Sprint will eventually make the decision too. Not before all carriers are offering the device, can we speculate its success in market.
In addition to the details mentioned earlier, we expect that the device will be running Android Marshmallow. Marshmallow was released last year with numerous new goodies including a completely new app drawer, redesigned app permissions, Doze, and Google Now on Tap.
We will be bringing all the updates as they surface, stay tuned with us to know more about these phones.
