You might have heard reports regarding the Marshmallow update for the BlackBerry Priv smartphone. Earlier on, it was being rumored that the update might not hit the handset before May, however about two weeks ago, Michael Clewley (Director of Handheld Software Product Management at the company) announced that a Beta version of the OS might be made available within a week. As of now, about a week late from the promised date, Blackberry officially started rolling out beta Marshmallow update for its first android smartphone – Priv.
The company announced that the aforementioned update will be delivered to some small and selective batch of customers. After receiving feedback and a go ahead from these customers-cum-testers, every beta tester will be feasted with the update. Note that you’d have to sign up for the Priv Marshmallow beta to get the upgrade for your smartphone. If you haven done so, this link will take you to the BlackBerry Beta Zone where you’ll be guided on how to prepare you Priv for the upgrade.
