BlackBerry sure is busy as they are set to announce BlackBerry Aurora in Indonesia on March 9th. The company in partnership with TCL recently announced the BlackBerry KEYone at the MWC. KEYone comes with the iconic QWERTY keypad. BlackBerry Aurora does not have the QWERTY keypad and is produced by PT BB Mehra Putih.

A few months ago BlackBerry decided to stop working on the hardware development of the smartphones and work on what they did best, security. In a bid to do that they have formed different partnerships allowing manufacturers to license the BlackBerry name for developing and distributing products under that brand. TCL and PT BB Mehra Putih are two such collaborations.

BlackBerry Aurora features a 5.5-inch display. Under the hood the device is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 425, paired with a 4GB RAM and 32 GB of native storage that can be extended through the micro SDcard. The smartphone will have dual-sim support and will run Android 7.0 Nougat on board. As far as the camera specs go, there will a 13-megapixel main and an 8-megapixel front facing camera sporting the device.

BlackBerry Aurora will be available in Black, Gold and Silver variants. The smartphone will retail at $262. The smartphone will not be available for sale out of Indonesia but TCL may sell this globally under a different name.
