BBM for Android and iOS just days away- BlackBerry CMO

Android and iOS users might put themselves into a relief mode as we have some good news for them.  BlackBerry CMO Frank Boulben said on Monday that he expects BBM for iOS and BBM for Android to both be available “within days”.

BBM was a messenger application that was available to BlackBerry alone. It allows group chat with as many as 30 people at a time. The video calling and screen sharing features wouldn’t be featured in the initial release but will be added in later with an update.

BBM for Android and BBM for iOS both were expected to be made available for the respective device owners by the end of September. BBM for iOS was put on the Apple App Store on a regional basis. This was taken back when the number of the download of the unofficial version of the Android flavored BBM reached 1.1million. After that BlackBerry never hinted as to when Android and iOS will be getting their BBM. BlackBerry recently said that it will not be rolling out the social networking app for Windows devices.

Stay tuned for more updates.
