The Galaxy S8 rumor mill is going strong, just yesterday we got to see the front panels of the device in 6 different colors showing the color options that will be available. Along with that we have seen different live images of the device leak which have give us a very good idea as to what the device will look like. Today the back panels of Galaxy S8 have leaked in Black and Silver color  which not only confirm the two color options but also confirm key details at the rear of the device.

One of the major design changes for Galaxy S8 has been the removal of the home button which also housed the fingerprint scanner. Now the fingerprint scanner has been moved at the rear of the device alongside the camera setup. Samsung was planning to use an in-display sensor, but Synaptics was unable to prepare the technology on time, so the rear placement was a last minute decision. The rear panel confirms this aspect, there are three  cut outs. One for the 12MP dual pixel camera, one for the finger print sensor and the other one for the flash and the heart rate sensor. The branding is also present at the back.

Samsung will be announcing two variants, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Both the devices will have a dual curved display and will vary only in their display size. Galaxy S8 will have a 5.8-inch and Galaxy S8+ will have a 6.2-inch display. The devices will be equipped with Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 SoC in some regions along with a 4GB RAM and 64 GB native storage. The South Korean and Chinese variants will have a 6GB RAM. Samsung’s own AI assistant Bixby will also make its debut alongside.

Samsung will be officially announcing Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ on March 29th and will arrive in the markets globally on April 28th or April 21st.
