AT&T’s Android 4.3 update for HTC One gets certified: update coming next week

President HTC America has been very active on twitter recently. On Friday, he tweeted that Android 4.3 for the HTC One had passed the AT&T carrier certification test. This means that the update will be coming to AT&T’s variant of HTC One as early as the next week, says the executive.

Sprint owners with HTC One had already received the update this past week, and the developer version of the phone and the units powered by Canadian carriers received the update the prior week.

The update includes improved Sense which will result in the addition of Instagram as a source for streaming updates on BlinkFeed, the ability to disable the menu button from the screen and more video highlight capabilities.

T-Mobile’s HTC One is expected to receive the update in the middle of the month. Verizon will probably be the last one in the queue to roll out the Android 4.3 OS build. Big Red would be pushing out the update by the end of this month.

Stay tuned for more updates
