A well-known manufacturer of computer hardware components is back with another phone called the ASUS Pegasus 4s. However, it is not going to retain an older smartphone design, but one that features an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Pegasus 4s follows the same example as the other premium flagships out there, but there is one noticeable difference that will encourage phone makers to follow this example, the battery capacity.

ASUS Pegasus 4s

Despite sporting a 5.7-inch 18:9 display, the ASUS Pegasus 4s features a 4,030mAh battery. This will definitely put the Galaxy Note8 and others alike to shame so we are hopeful that the move the company has taken will be able to deliver the momentum for future devices to come with powerful hardware and beefier batteries.

From the looks of the other internals, it does not appear that the Pegasus is going to be targeted to those who enjoy purchasing expensive smartphones. With a resolution of 1440 x 720 plus a MediaTek MT6750T chipset, it is definitely going to be carrying a smaller price tag.

There are going to be two models released; one will get 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage while the second version will have 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. A nice addition to the overall smartphone package is that it features a dual-camera at the back with a 16MP + 8MP combination plus an 8MP camera for selfies.

It also harbors a metallic chassis but unfortunately, will not provide for wireless charging most likely to keep the price down to a minimum. Our own preference demands that the ASUS Pegasus 4s should have been outfitted with a Snapdragon chipset for added performance and potential software updates in the near future, but it looks like we cannot have what we want all the time.

Pricing of the phone has not been detailed, but it will be appearing in the Gold or Star Black models. As for availability, it appears that the phone will only be available in China for now.
