Asus at their CES press event today introduced different devices, their smartphones certainly impressed with high specs and a good price tag. The Taiwanese company with their lineup that was introduced today meant business, their presentation for the press event was very good, especially the last part in which they unveiled the smartphones, they had compared the performance and specifications of their device with that of the other manufacturers high-end smartphones currently in the market. With that they were making the point that their device is better than a lot of other devices. Well the smartphones do look good, the features are great and the pricing is even better, they are set to beat the competition.

The smartphone will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Asus own Zen UI which gives the user a slew of in-built options like Kids Mode, One Handed Mode etc. The device will support a dual-sim and 4G LTE Cat 6 connectivity.
The passion behind the design of ZenFone 2 is our never-ending desire to empower luxury for everyone. We have drawn on our considerable engineering expertise and experience with our popular ZenFone to create a smartphone that embodies this ambition. Asus Zenfone Zoom features all the specs that Zenfone 2 does, the one main difference is the camera as this smartphone is a more ‘camera-centric device’ aimed at photography enthusiasts. ZenFone Zoom sports a 13-megapixel main camera with a 10-element lens, 3 x zoom and optical image stabilization. The 10-element design gives the camera a 12X digital zoom. The smartphone is also equipped with a True Tone LED Flash and laser focus. This smartphone will retail at $399 and will be available in two colors: Meteorite Black and Glacier White.
ZenFone 2 will have different versions, the 2 GB RAM versions is priced at $199, which is a good price given the specs of the device. There is no information available at what price will the 4 GB RAM version will sell at, hopefully it is somewhere below $300. ZenPhone 2 will be available for sale in March. Asus with these two smartphones is set to give the high-end smartphones a run for their money. We are impressed that the company has worked on bringing good specs with an affordable price tag. Asus has started the year on a great note, let’s see what they have in store for us next for this year.
