The French manufacturer, Archos has announced its budget lineup for CES 2015. With the big brands still keeping a lid on their plans and teasing fans by dropping hints, some manufacturers are taking a different approach as seen in the case of Archos and Alcatel OneTouch they have announced what their plans and products for the CES. It is a smart move on part of these manufacturers as they know their products may get lost in the dazzling display and products unveiled by the giants of the tech industry.
Archos has a 4G enabled budget lineup planned for the CES which includes a smartphone and three tablets. The 50 Diamond, is the smartphone that the company is introducing at the CES. Its most striking feature is the vibrant yellow casing. The smartphone will be powered by Qulacomm Snapdragon 605 octa-core processor and will be equipped with a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which is extendable. The device will sport a 5-inch 1080p Full HD display, a 16-megapixel main and 8-megapixel front cameras. The smartphone will support a dual SIM and 4G LTE connectivity. Apart from that the Diamond 50 will run Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Archos has set the price tag of the smartphone below $200, what the exact price is, that will be revealed at the CES.
The three tablets that will be announced by the company are 70 Helium 4G, 80b Helium 4G and 101 Helium 4G. The 70 Helium 4G is a tablet that sports a 7-inch, 1024 x 600 IPS display. The tablet will be powered by MediaTek MT8732 quad-core processor and will be equipped with 1GB RAM and 8 GB of internal memory which is extendable. The tablet will sport 2-megapixel main and 0.3-megapixel front cameras and will be powered by a 2500mAh battery. The 70 Helium 4G will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
The other two tablets by Archos 80b Helium 4G and 101 Helium 4G share specs which are that they both run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and will make use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 quad-core chipset. The 80b Helium will sport an 8-inch, 1280 x 800p display and will be powered by a 3600mAh battery. The 101 Helium tablet will sport a 10-inch, 1280 x 800p display along with a 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras. The 101 Helium will be powered by a 6500mAh battery. The prices of all these products will be revealed at the CES, but the company will set an economical price tag. In their press release the company sates:
