Apple Released iPad Air 2, Here’s All You Need To Know

The long awaited addition to the iPad family, and the 2nd iteration in the iPad Air series is finally out today. As expected, Apple has finally unveiled a new line of products today, that includes the iPad Air 2. A number of goodies has made its way into the iPad Air 2, that gives a great sense to the rumors that surfaced around about the improvements in this new device. Let’s go through the details of Apple’s latest 9.7-inch slate and learn what new Apple has brought up.

At 6.1 mm, Although the iPad Air 2 is 18% more thinner than the iPad 1, but it replicates the iPad Air 1 as it sports the same design, same size and the same build quality. Improvements have been made to the components including Display, Camera and some other hardware features. Dimensions of the iPad Air 2 are 9.45 x 6.67 x 0.24 inches and it weighs at 444 g.

A 9.7 inch screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1538 pixels is there accompanied by 264 pixels per inch. While it was expected that Apple might go with the same display, that it used in iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, the display of the iPad Air 2 remains the same as its predecessor. Apple has improved the viewing angles, that the iPad Air suffered from. Display of the iPad Air 2 is laminated and it’s 56% less reflective now.

The shooter at the back is 8 Megapixels which becomes a great improvement over the 5 MP shooter of the original iPad Air, loaded with the features like burst mode, Slo-Mo feature, timelapse videos and the image quality has definitely been improved.  iPad Air 2’s rear camera is capable of shooting panoramas of up to 43 mega-pixels.

On the front, a 1.2 MP shooter can be found. Slight improvements have been made to the front facing camera as well. Selfies and video calling experience have been enhanced.
