Well Apple announced ‘Something Special’ for us as they shut down the Apple Store. The company has just announced a 9.7-inch iPad.  Along with the new iPad, Apple has also introduced the limited edition Red-branded iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in Red color supporting the global AIDS research fund.

The new 9.7-inch iPad is the successor to iPad Air 2. The iPad is equipped with Apple’s A9 chipset and is quite an upgrade over its predecessor. Along with that you will find an 8MP shooter at the front and a 1.2 MP selfie shooter at the front. iPad comes with 2 storage configurations. There will be a 32GB and a 128 GB variant.

The 9.7-inch iPad with 32 GB RAM will be priced at $329 and the 128 GB model will be priced at $459. The new iPad is a strategic move on Apple’s part to revive the tablet market which is in slump for the past few years. Along with that with the iterative model they have kept the prices low to encourage people to trade in their older models for something new. Consumers looking to buying the device can get it on the Apple Store starting March 24th.
