Android Nougat update is rolling out for Galaxy S6 Edge

Users globally have been patIently waiting for the Android 7.0 Nougat update to hit their smartphones since Google announced it. As Samsung has so many smartphones and a diverse global outreach, that it does take time to roll new OS updates to their smartphones. Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in some regions are still awaiting updates. Good news for Galaxy S6 Edge users the Nougat update has started rolling to your smartphones.

This update was supposed to rolled out in the end of February but Samsung delayed it as they wanted to review it for any further bugs or issues. Quality seems to be one of the focal points for Samsung this year.

SamMobile informed that users that Vodafone users in United Kingdom have started receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update on their Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones. The firmware version for their handsets is G925FXXU5EQBG. Along with UK, Galaxy S6 Edge users in Germany, Switzerland and Italy have also started getting the update.

Right now it does look like that the update is specific to Europe but as t0 has started rolling out the hope is that it will be arriving in other global markets in the coming weeks. We will keep you updated on how this does and when it may arrive on your Galaxy S6 Edge handset.
