Moto G (2nd Gen) was unveiled to the market in September 2014 which was powered by Android KitKat 4.4.4 at that time. Although we saw that the device got an upgrade to Android lollipop in early January, prior to the recent one.

Moto G (2nd Gen) will now be able to use the new features of Marshmallow such as Doze, Google Now on Tap along with redesigned app permissions.
This particular update for Moto G (2nd Gen) is available on both 3G and LTE-enabled varients available in India. Moreover, similiar to India, soak-tests were carried out for Marshmallow update in Brazil too. Therefore it can be expected that Brazilians will also be receiving their update soon.
