Alcatel Idol 4 was officially unveiled on the MWC which took place this February. Although it isn’t yet available for sale, rumors have started to pour in which hint towards a Pro variant of the smartphone. Yesterday a credible leakster, @evleaks, outed a rendered image of the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro. This particular variant of the Idol 4 will be running on Windows 10 Mobile.
Today the smartphone paid a visit to GFXBench where a benchmark test revealed its specifications in detail. The Alcatel Idol 4 Pro will feature a 6-inch 1080 x 1920 HD display while it’ll host Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU under the hood.
GFXBench further revealed that the smartphone will sport 64GB of internal memory accompanied by 20MP/9MP camera combo. Of course, Windows 10 Mobile will come pre installed. There is one anomaly in the leaked benchmark test which needs to addressed. As you can see above, the test shows 2GB of RAM however we are quite sure that the upcoming Pro variant will carry a larger 3GB/4GB of RAM.
According to Evan Blass, aka @evLeaks, the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro will support Continuum. This allows the user to hook the handset up to a monitor, QWERTY keyboard and mouse all with the help of Microsoft Display Dock. In other words, Continuum turns the smartphone into a desktop computer.
We will be updating you as soon as we receive information regarding the availability and price tag of the smartphone. So stay tuned.
