After the introduction of iPad in Mobile Market, many industries created a fuss about, whether it can be a content creator device or not. Many decided that the touch-based input method for iPad is not suitable for Content creating, with many thoughts putting it only for gaming. While watching Movies, viewing Images and reading text are the main reason to purchase an iPad, the year of its release till now, many times it has been proved that iPad is built for more than that.
Well, it looks like, someone at Adobe agrees that iPad can do more than that, and after years of hoping and waiting, user of Desktop version of Lightroom have got what they were crying about, an iPad version of Lightroom. Of course, when hearing about Lightroom for iPad, one would always think, whether it will be only for Viewing images or full editing application, well it is not a Full app, but enough to make it the best editing app for iPad.
One thing is to make sure that you have the Creative Cloud Subscription, without it Lightroom will not work, and all your images will be synced across both iPad and Desktop versions of iPad, that means any editing done in any version can be pushed over the other. The same goes with iPhone and Android version, that are currently a work in progress.
If you are a Lightroom user, then the ability to edit a RAW photo from iPad may well appeal for you. The necessary and Required $9.99 Creative Cloud Subscription is something that will draw back users a little, but the offer to give Cloud service is something that will compel users towards it. Some of the advance options from the desktop version are missing, but Exposure, Brightness, Tempratuer, Shadows and Higlights are well present in the iPad app.
The app is totally for now or maybe it will remain free forever, but we could consider it paid as it requires a Creative Cloud Subscription, so if you got the Subscription you will try this app for sure, but before you do anything with your money, there is a free 30-days trial to try this app.
