60 countries will be receiving Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge on March 11

Samsung recently announced that their brand new flagship models, Samsung galaxy S7 and S7 edge, will be released on March 11. Although the pre-orders will be starting from today – 23 January.

According to Korean publication Yonhap News, Samsung Mobile Communications chief DJ Koh officially confirmed that the new smartphones will be launching in 60 countries. Needless to say, U.S is also included in the list where the major carriers are getting ready to release the smartphones nationwide.

Rumors are that DJ Koh is expecting to hit new high with the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge while breaking the previous records by Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. To further increase the sales, Samsung is offering a free Gear VR headset to the customers who will pre-order or buy any of the smartphones between 23rd February to 18th March. According to third-party estimates, Samsung shipped roughly 38 million Galaxy S6 smartphones in 2015, so Samsung will surely be targeting a figure above 40 million units.
