Zauba, Indian customs database, reveals an all new series by Samsung. Apparently this new series will be named the ‘C-series’. Currently Zauba unveiled a smartphone with a model number SM-C5000 which features a 5.2 inch display. However other rumors suggest that another smartphone of the C series with a model number SM-7000 is also under development though no specifics have yet surfaced.
As you can see in the picture on top, the smartphone has been mentioned with a per unit price of INR 13,625 ($205). So far Samsung has 5 alphabet named series – S, A, J, E, Z (which are arranged in descending order with respect to price). Apart form these, Samsung also has a Note series and an On series available in its lineup. The aforementioned price of the upcoming C-series lies just above the J5 which was released last year. Therefore is can be speculated that the series in question will carry smartphones which might be priced above J series but still remain cheaper than the A series. However, it should be kept in mind that the prices might be different when the smartphone is officially launched.
Reportedly the C-series will mainly target customers residing in China, though we might also soon witness a launch in India. If you have been following the latest news on Techbeast, you might have seen information regarding the upcoming mysterious smartphone in India. For the ones who haven’t, Samsung India is marketing an event which is themed on motorcycle riding. Apparently the event will take place three days from now – March 31. Samsung is promoting the upcoming event with the hashtag #TapKickVroom and as claimed, the event “will change the way you ride.” You’ll be wondering what the aforementioned hashtag means, well that you’ll have to guess on your own. Not just that, Samsung has invited your guesses on @SamsungMobileIn and on Samsung Mobile India’s Facebook page. The entries you make will automatically enter you in a contest – note that you have to submit you submissions before March 30, 6 pm. Samsung has set a prize, the all new smartphone, for three lucky winners. Every one of the three winners will be entitled to one smartphone which will be launched on March 31. Well guys, the mysterious smartphone being marketed by Samsung might just be the SM-C5000
