A well known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities claims that the Cupertino company will come up with an entirely redesigned line up in 2017. Mr Kuo has been reporting a possible introduction of AMOLED display in iPhone from quite some time now, however he now claims that this technology will be apart of Apple iPhone 2017 instead of 2018.
Further reports claim that the iPhone launched in 2017 will host a curved display along with a curved glass body. This design will be made in an image of the iPhone 4/4s released few years ago. According to the aforementioned analyst, the smartphone will feature the same 5.8 inch screen size introduced with iPhone 6 Plus, however it’ll then hold thinner bezels which will allow better grip of the device. He further speculated that Apple will discard the rumored ceramic back for a glass back design due to difficulties in tolerance control of ceramics. The glass back may also help Apple introduce wireless charging for their smartphones.
Please note that the above mentioned claims aren’t backed by official evidence. We’ll probably be seeing many such rumors until the final device is unveiled in 2017. So stay tuned for further updates.
